Fay Street Loft, Boston

Architect, Ruhl Walker

Nestled in the South End of Boston, this modern penthouse loft was a complete renovation. Once this space was opened up it was reorganized by a glass wall system along the main corridor allowing natural light to transmit through out. We added a master bedroom and master bath, office and living room. The original kitchen was updated where we repainted the cabinetry doors.

A major feature we installed was a divider with a glass undulating wall and floor to ceiling cabinetry defining the space. The living room has built in cabinets and wall panels soaring to 16 feet tall which also conceal a small mezzanine for storage. The owner, wanting to keep his original ladder leading to the mezzanine, was restored. Finishing out the round living room floor to ceiling windows with sheer draperies and a beautiful chandelier by David Weeks Studio.
